ruck Driver Arrested After U-Turn Leads to Fatal Florida Turnpike Collision

A tragic accident on the Florida Turnpike claimed three lives after a tractor-trailer attempted an illegal U-turn, leading to a devastating collision.

The crash occurred on Tuesday, August 12, near Fort Pierce, when a 2024 International tractor-trailer tried to cross the median using an “official use only” passage. According to investigators, this area was clearly marked with a no U-turn sign and is designated exclusively for emergency vehicles.

Dashcam footage later showed the tractor-trailer blocking northbound lanes as a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country minivan collided with the vehicle. The impact was severe, leaving the minivan trapped beneath the truck’s side.

Authorities identified the truck driver as Harjinder Singh, who now faces serious charges related to the fatal crash. Reports indicate Singh appeared calm in the aftermath, a detail that sparked strong reactions online. Many social media users expressed disbelief at his lack of visible concern.

Emergency responders confirmed that two of the minivan’s occupants died instantly at the scene. The third victim, a 30-year-old driver from Florida City, was pulled from the wreckage and rushed to a nearby hospital, but later passed away despite medical efforts.

All three individuals inside the minivan—its driver and two passengers—tragically lost their lives as a result of the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the U-turn, stressing the critical dangers of reckless driving on high-speed highways.Uncategorized
