CHICAGO (WGN) — Authorities are asking for help in the search for a teen girl who officers say is missing from her home on the Northwest Side.
According to Chicago police, 16-year-old Athena Acosta was last at her home in the 6200 block of West Fullerton Avenue, in Belmont Central, at around 8:15 a.m. Thursday, but has not been contacted since.Read more: Latest Chicago news and headlines
The missing teen, who stands 5-foot-6 and weighs around 130 pounds, has brown eyes and light brown hair with pink highlights.
Officers said Acosta was last spotted wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts and pink Crocs shoes.

Additionally, the missing teen is known to have piercings on her nose and lips.
