LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A memorial is growing for a 9-year-old boy who was hit and killed by a DUI suspect in Koreatown.
Nadir Gavarrete and his older brother were riding an e-scooter last week when they were struck by an RV near the intersection of South New Hampshire Avenue and 4th Street. His 19-year-old brother, Carlos Gavarrete, was injured in the crash and is still in the hospital.
The RV driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
